Several years ago I made it a goal to read more. Gradually I’ve increased the amount I read and decided as part of this I’d like to review books. My goal is to focus on two different kinds of reviews:
1) Reviews focusing on books where I learned something about the craft of writing. Be it good dialogue or storytelling. I will try to convey what elements I liked and what I leaned.
2) Reviews focusing on books falling short of expectations and how elements of the book didn’t work for me. I want to use the experience of being a reader as a way to inform my own writing to better developed my craft.
